Fashion Festival in London.

I love fashion.
I love festivals.
And I love London so how can I resist a Fashion Festival in London?!

The V&A Museum has teamed up with BBC Blast for a 1 day Fashion Festival for 13-19 years olds. You don't need to book for all the events, only certain ones. And amazingly- there is one for fashion blogging which I signed up for as soon as I saw it! I can't wait!

If you are able to get to London on Saturday 2nd October 2010 then I'd definitely recommend going.

Alexander McQueen memorial during London Fashion Week.

Many of McQueens close friends went to his memorial at St Pauls Cathedral on the 4th day of London Fashion Week. Many "fashion royalties" went to the memorial of their friend and immensely popular fashion designer Alexander McQueen including Kate Moss, Stella McCartney and many more.

London Fashion Week- Topshop- Unique

Where to start with this! The shoes- Wow! I love the spikes coming off the very high perspex heels, they could be an outfit in themselves! the clashing prints look amazing together and apart and the whole outfit looks fantastic! I love the pink bushy hair and it is the perfect finishing touch.

I seriously want this dress and I love the boho look! The sunglasses are fantastic and that bag is just jaw droppingly gorgeous!!! Again with the shoes and the hair- I adore everything in this outfit!

This sheer look is brilliant- I love the gothic feel of it. Okay so maybe you wouldn't wear it to pop to the shops but it definitely makes a statement and you'd stand out of the crowd! But is it bad that this reminds me of a Hallowe'en costume...?!!

Davidelfin Fall 2010 RTW

Okay so this is so so so so so so SO stupid of me but I kind of only just realised that rtw is ready to wear! Stupid right!? Anyway, putting that aside- here is some of Davidelfin's Fall 2010 RTW(!) collection.

I have an urge to dye my hair not just blonde but YELLOW! Yellow is my favourite colour but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to pull off the canary look ... Amazing but maybe keep it on the runway!

Loving the yellow man tights- It's like we're in one of Shakespeares plays!! The pink lining is great too.

Brilliant man bag. Normally I would say all great is bland and boring but this is definitely neither of those!

I love the flash of yellow- it really brightens up the suit.

I need these shoes!!!

I have an essay to do over the weekend for Engish on a book we're doing in class which got me thinking about my favourite books. One of them is 'Of Mice and Men' by John Steinbeck which loads of my friends are studying but I'm quite glad that I'm not because I think it ruins the fun of a book if you study every sentance. Anyway- I love it and it is such a short book so no one really has an excuse for not reading it! I'm such a wimp when it comes to books so when I read this- and when I heard an adaptation on the radio- I cried. But I love books and films that make me cry- that probably sounds really weird but it's true!

My other favourite book is Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I think part of the reason I love it so much is because m mum got me the most beautiful copy of it when I was three for me to read when I was older- which is now! The gold lettering and decoration is gorgeous, I could have the cover and be just as happy with it as I am reading the book itself! But I also love it because it is such a beautifully written book and has such powerful emotions in it!

At the moment I'm reading 1984 by George Orwell- I had no idea 'Big Brother' came from this book!

Anyway, I'll stop nattering on about books as I'd better get on with my essay!

Style bloggers.

I started this fashion blog mainly because I had tried out tumblr and wanted to take it another step! I only got interested after hearing about Tavi Gevinson aka The Style Rookie who is a 14 year old school girl like myself only she is possibly the most famous style blogger at the moment. I find her sense of style really interesting especially when she is really creative and does things like cuts holes in skirts or uses carpet netting as a jacket. I am in love with this Tavi t-shirt- go on her blog to order one!

Another of my favourite bloggers is Roz Jana who is 15 and I heard about her from the Style section of I think it was the Sunday Times (?). I love her site clothescamerasandcoffee.blogspot.com and I'm an avid follower.

I've seen so many style and fashion blogs but those two are at the moment my favourites. I started blogging because of them and even though I have only six followers I'm glad I started and hey, who knows, maybe one day that six will become seven...!

Blass and Gucci flavoured sorbet.

This bright yellow Bill Blass dress sure does grab your attention! I love the brightness of the colour- it looksso good you could eat it! I think yellow could be the new black...!

If you prefer mango sorbet this gorgeous Gucci dress may be the one for you! This flowing beauty is wonderful and looks fantastic! I love the way it floats as you walk and I think the way the different shades melt into eachother gives a great effect.

Fall 2010 Couture

I'm in love with some of the new collections for fall 2010 couture. Here are my thoughts on some of what I think are the best....

Alexis Mabille

By far the best sleeves I have ever seen! Admittedly they would not fit under a cardigan if it got chilly but I'd happily freeze wearing this! And look at those shoes!!!

Wow! Looking like it has just come out of paridise this dress is amazing! I love the 3-Dness of it and the detail is fabulous!

Anna Sui

I love absolutely everything in her collection so it was painfully hard to choose a few but somehow I managed!

I love the brave mix of prints and the clever layering. I love the boots and the dress is gorgeous!

Where to start! The bomber jacket, the leather bag, the winter hat, the dress? I love it all!

Rick Owens

I can honestly say I have never seen anything quite like this! I love this! I may not be brave enough to wear it but still I would give my left arm to have it! It's such a unique gothic look- brilliant!

Okay so it slightly resembles something that an alien might wear but I still can't help falling in love with this! I love the headdress idea and the futuristic metallic feel to it. Still, I can't quite imagine seeing someone wearing it down the road. But I suppose you never know what's round the corner!
